Need urgent hair help!

I'm having my hair cut this weekend for the first time in months. I have fine, one length hair just past my shoulders with a fringe. It's gone very wispy at the ends due to needing a cut. It's naturally wavy (but not in a good way) and I have to straighten it. Am over 50 and still naturally blonde. Have a chubby face. Could do with still being able to tie it up for exercise. Thinking of something like this but don't want to have to spend too much time styling it every day. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!

Anyone?!

My hair is cut very similarly to that and it does need some care and attention every day. Takes me maybe 8 mins with a warm air styler and 2 to run the straighteners over the ends on days I haven’t washed it. (When it’s more like 20 mins total.)

Also needs cutting every 8-10 weeks to keep the shape.

Thank you, that's good to know.

Depends if you have frizzy ends, I really like it but unless you have dead straight hair it's a lot of work if you're not keen on styling.

My hair has a wave to it and I don’t find it overly laborious to get it looking nice (as above).

I have a GHD hot brush - I wonder if that would work to style it if I roughly blow dried it first?

You wouldn't be able to tie up hair that length.

I have fine hair, mid length bob. That style would not work on me because you really need thicker hair to make the back that shape, it would just lie flat on me. But it also depends on your hairline I think.

I use a similar thing to pp to dry and shape mine (a Babyliss version), it takes five minutes now and one hand, where it used to take ten to fifteen and both hands!

I can’t see how hair thay short can be properly tied up to be honest and that’s heavily styled thick hair too.

Yeah it does look like thick hair doesn't it....odd as I googled 'short bob styles for fine hair'!

I have very thick hair so that may help.

I do a top bun for workouts.

Think I need to discount it - my hair is too fine. Any other ideas welcomed.

Your second image is about the same length as mine. It can be tied up but there's still bits that fall out when exercising but mainly stays contained.

I have fine hair but lots of it and it's wavy/curly/frizzy but I wear it straight. Takes me about 20 mins to dry and straighten it on wash days. Second day hair gets a blast of dry shampoo and a quick run over with straighteners or the top pinned back out the way and it's done in 10mins.

Thanks @itsoveritshard

Mine is the same as your last pic OP but a little shorter. I have straight, fine hair and this is the only cut that makes it look more. I section dry it with a thickening lotion and /or mousse but only takes me 15 mins max. to do.
