Best place to sell vintage Chanel jacket

I have a very beautiful vintage Chanel jacket. I picked it up on eBay 15 years ago for £130. Someone never collected it from the dry cleaners and they flogged it. I never wore it and would like to sell it. Any advice on the best place?

Try Vestiaire Collective. It's an app like eBay, but for designer clothes. I've used it for some of my stuff and it's all sold.

Personally I wouldn't use VC for this. There are also a few specialist Chanel re-sellers who would be far more helpful and be able to achieve a better price - I used one to sell my a few of my mother's Chanel jackets/suits from the 80s . I'll have a look through my notes and see if I can find their details

What size and style is it and how much do you want for it?!

@yomommasmomma it’s a small size (I will need to check the exact size). I can’t comment on price, unfortunately, until I’ve had it valued.

Let me know when you know the price and have had or authenticated etc.

This is now on my to-do list! Will have to trawl though my emails/bank statements.

Just to add that without a receipt or authenticity card, the jacket will be worth considerably less unless it is a hugely identifying piece/has been used in their advertising/has been photographed on a celebrity/Chanel ambassador. Also, and out of curiosity, does the jacket have a white hand written label listing fabric content, serial number etc?

A specialist will be able to properly ascertain its date/value, and why it is worth using them rather than just bunging it on VC for a price you have plucked out of thin air.

Do you have Instagram? There is a collector/reseller on there called Parisian_sweet, I would contact him. Also, Sellier Kinightbridge are collectors that will resell

I've never been lucky enough to get anywhere near owning a Chanel but I agree with previous posters that proof of authenticity would make a huge difference in value. I think I'd probably start by asking for advice at an auction house.

The other thing I'd say is, that if it is authentic, then (unless Chanel gets cancelled or something) I can only see its value going up, so I'd only sell it if I needed some 'quick' money.
