How often would you get root regrowth professionally redone ideally?

Hopeful Bump

I have m been offered very 4 weeks and fits with my work schedule but I wondered if this was excessive.

Depends how/what colour your hair is. I have light blonde highlights on dark blonde hair and it blends nicely as it grows out so I only need it doing every 8 weeks.

My sister has brown hair and has it done more often than me as she can't disguise the greys so easily.

My hair is naturally black. I've been going steadily greyer since late teens early 20s. I colour my roots every 2 weeks now but I do it myself with e salon colour. I have a whole head tint about 3 times a year in the salon.

I’m same as @ThankYouVeryMuchGerry - dark blonde natural hair with lighter blond highlights blended in and I have them every 8-10 weeks, by 10 weeks I’m usually a bit desperate so 8 weeks ideal for me. Agree it will depend on colours/how the colour is applied

It depends why you're dying your hair. My hair is mostly grey now and I dye it to cover the greys. I get my roots done every 5 weeks. Tbh it really needs doing at 4 weeks but I stick it out for an extra week as the cost really does build up over a year!

If I just had highlights or similar I'd push it to 6 weeks, again because of cost.

I think most hairdressers recommend 4-6 weeks otherwise it becomes harder to match the root colour to the rest of the hair.
