Cleaning Ugg slippers

I don't want to buy overpriced Ugg cleaning products but Google is telling me the alternative is to use 'dish soap'. Should I really be scrubbing sheepskin with Fairy liquid?!

Any experience with successful slipper cleaning, please?

Oh really? I read all sorts of dire warnings against doing that... Do you stick them on a wool wash/low spin rpm? I'm very tempted!

I've Eaton uggs for about 20 years and had loads of pairs . I've washed loads . Wool wash with vanish spray for stains and woolite , low spun , they smooth the pile when they come out as they have drum marks on them , then stuff with newspaper and dry near not hot a radiator!
