How do I keep jeans rolled up?

I have a pair of jeans that for me so well, but I don't like the width at the bottoms. If I chop off a few inches and make them cropped how do I keep the rolled up bit rolled up? It won't stay ip on its own and looks silly

Ob don't want to sew it completely. What's the norm? Thanks

Hemming tape?

Hemming tape?
I don't really want them to look hemmed, I just want them rolled up to stay up 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can tack them from underneath the rolled edge iyswim, you just put enough stitches in enough places to keep them rolled, so you don't get a solid hem effect. Alternatively pop a few tiny safety pins inside the leg just catching the cuff in a few places.

You could press them folded and then put a couple of stitches in both the inside and outside leg seams to secure the fold at each side. I've done that in the past and it's worked OK.
