Jeans and... ? Mum wardrobe help...

Hi folks, trying to sort out my casual ‘Mum’ wardrobe - I have heaps of lovely blouses, but need some nice, flattering everyday tops to wear with jeans (that wouldn’t make me look dressed up at soft play!). I suppose my style is quite feminine, but I really need some casual stuff! Any ideas? (So far I’m going to order a Scamp and Dude hoodie/sweatshirt!) TIA.

Just to add to my post - I’m so unsatisfied with my day-to-day wardrobe, I’m wondering if it would make sense to go for much more of a sportswear/athleisure look?! (Fitted so I tend to look slim, but easy to move around in and can deal with slung in the washing machine on a daily basis!) 😬

What kind of thing do you want, OP?

I know you say sportswear/athleisure, but are you looking to completely overhaul your wardrobe or just looking for tops?

I live in sweaty Betty to be honest. Shoes are either new balance or I tend to live in the new ultra low Uggs.

Come summer I tend to wear maxi dresses and denim jackets.

I personally live in sports leggings and oversized sweatshirts. But if your style is jeans and a blouse you could go more casual by swapping the blouse for a joules style breton top, sweatshirt or knitted jumper. You may find something that fits the bill on muthahoodgoods.com/

I find uniqlo great for casual long sleeve tops, I tend to just wear mom jeans, trainers and jumpers (French tuck 🤣) or occasionally leather leggings and my Docs. But I do like the uniqlo tops with built in bra - really comfy and wash well.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! @toastfiend, a good question...not sure if I know the answer actually! 😂 @Tiddlywinkly, of course - I have a real mix, but quite a lot of vintage blouses, plus some from Anthropologie, Oliver Bonas, OtherStories, and got a lovely blouse recently from Monsoon. 😊

Breton top or fitted t-shirt tucked into high waisted jeans

If you like the blouses and they aren’t a pain to wash I’d wear them with the jeans. You deserve to feel lovely even on mum duty.
