Nip fab burn? Ow!

I usual use glycolic acid 7% from The ordinary. I'll be traveling soon and thought these nip fab pads would be easier to pack. So I tried one tonight. I'm bright red. I don't usually wash off TO but I cleansed again with a gentle balm cleanser and piled on nivea blue tub. I'm now sitting here a little worried I've hurt my skin, and I'm using an ice pack! Any tips how to right this wrong!!!!!?????

I have sensitive skin and never had a reaction to them (I use the extra strength one). Are you using retinol or anything else?

Thanks for replying @Milomonster, I don't use retinol. I've just been googling to see what happened and it seems this randomly hapoens sometimes. I used the pad, perhaps over zealously as it had more product than I usually put on pads myself. I felt definate tingling. I followed it as I usual would with hyaluronic acid - would that be problematic? I would also usually use TO Buffet but didn't as I'm running low. Then I used a face oil. By this time my face was really hot and I was scared when I looked in the mirror. I've used Dragons Blood loads (with no irritation) and I looked worse than when I have Dragons Blood on my face. I did a few cool wet towels, then decided to start over, so balm cleanser by this time just picked on the moisturiser.

My skin's no longer radiating heat thank goodness.

And a quick mirror check shows the redness has massively reduced. Phew! But will I ever be able to use it again is the question.

I really don’t like the stuff at all. I feel similarly about Pixie too.

Why is that @Pinchofnom? Did it burn you? I'm OK with pixie glow, though I don't prefer it.
