I've been reading about this and it sounds fabulous. But I'm worried I will end up looking like Courtney Cox or Catherine ZJ ie obviously filled. AIBU

Well it’s not filler so it’s not going to give you the look of fillers.

YoungBritishPissArtist · 13/02/2022 17:26

This question might be better placed in Style and Beauty?

lucythejuicy · 13/02/2022 18:03

Yes I have asked for it to move

We're moving this thread to our Style & Beauty topic for the OP Smile

The dr that does my fillers and Botox explained it like a long term moisturiser. It give you a fresh moisturised look.

I'm going to try it in a couple of months although you have to tenner it takes a second lot to look nice ( then from start to finish it's about 8 weeks to try the full result by all accounts )

Delatron · 13/02/2022 20:21

I’ve had it. It’s not the same as a filler, it doesn’t add volume. So you won’t look different.

It hydrates and is supposed to stimulate collagen. My skin does look better and more ‘plump’. I’ll carry on having it but it is very subtle.

lucythejuicy · 13/02/2022 22:08

Thanks all. Is it good on the neck?

It was a complete waste of money for me

NotquitewhatImeant · 14/02/2022 09:24

Useless for me too and the lumps stayed for 10 days. Really disappointing

FrankUnderwoodsWife · 14/02/2022 09:29

I had it done recently for the first time.
It has made me look fresher and younger.

No one can pinpoint exactly why I look “better” I just do. It’s added a slight Plumpness and youthful veneer I guess.

I had it on my face and neck - I have ugly deep lines across my neck, and it’s really helped soften the lines.
Each area costs £350 at the clinic I attend. I’m back in 4 weeks after my first appointment to have it redone for maximum results then you gave 2 x yearly maintenance

Delatron · 14/02/2022 11:27

I’ve heard if they don’t inject at the right depth then it doesn’t work? Might explain the mixed reviews. It does take a good 8 weeks to kick in too.

I can understand why people don’t think it’s much bang for your buck. It’s very subtle and hard to pinpoint why you look better.

I’ll keep having it in the hope it’s topping up my collagen bank long term. I think it does wear off quite quickly. My doctor said ideally you’d have it every 4 months but obviously that’s too much ££.

Those having it regularly. After the initial 2 sessions 4 weeks apart do you drop down to a single session every 6 months?

I was told to have another 2 6 months after my initial lot. I can’t afford to keep having 2 so 1 for maintenance every 6 months should be enough?

Delatron · 14/02/2022 11:28

I think ‘slight plumpness’ is a good description. I was looking a bit thin in the face before this and it has plumped up the skin again. Some won’t need or want that though..
