Hand made shoes

Hi I hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have very challenging feet to get shoes for.

I wondered if anyone could recommend me somewhere that does properly hand made shoes? Where they make a last for your foot and then make the shoes from that? And also would you have any idea of the cost?

What sort of shoes are you looking for?

I only wear barefoot/minimalist shoes and there are quite a few custom shoe makers in this market, and some who can adapt to meet customer needs.

I follow someone on Facebook (who I think I might have stumbled across on a thread on here about MNers will small businesses, although I could be totally misremembering!) called RED (Ruth Emily Davey) shoemaker. Check her out on Facebook and see if she can help you.

I just struggle to get shoes and it’s depressing to spend £150 and still not have shoes that fit !

Conker shoes might be worth a look if they have anything to your taste, they do a modified fit and a made to measure service. James Taylor and Son.

There are some wonderful Eastern European handmade and custom shoe makers, I'm waiting for some from the Czech Republic ❤️
