Eye make up remover that doesn’t irritate

sheeplikessleep · 13/02/2022 09:36

I’ve spent so much on different eye make up removers, to try and find one that doesn’t cause pink under eye skin the following day.

Does anyone have any recommendations please? I don’t wear make up all of the time, just when I go out but I hate the irritation the following day.

Thanks

Simple is the only one I can use.

Thanks 👍

Nivea, the one with the blue liquid. It’s amazingly moisturising and easily removes waterproof mascara without scrubbing. I find simple very drying & bad at removing more stubborn eye makeup.

I think I’ve tried the Nivea one in the past … is it half blue and half clear liquid?

Take the day off Clinique in the purple bottle

Also was given estel Lauder one that was v good blue bottle

No sting with either

Clinique take the day off I used last night and my skin is sore under my eyes today. That was recommended to me by a friend. I’ll look up the Estée Lauder one thankyou

I use Neal's yard rose balm, it's lovely on my skin can be used to take off make up with the hot muslin method, as a mask if skin is very dry and I also use it on other things eg if it's very cold and my face gets a bit wind chapped, dry elbows, lips.

This one, it's 15% off for new customers at the moment or sometimes I buy it from other sites in the sale

Simple couldn’t even remove my non waterproof mascara. It left me with smudges under my eye and sore eyes!

This is incredible.. even removes waterproof mascara with no rubbing. Tested it with a couple of friends more expensive product doing a blind test & they thought it was theirs they were using. It’s brill.

This one for me anyway doesn't have any reaction or cause irritation.

Boots Botanics. Used it for years. Brilliant stuff.

sheeplikessleep · 13/02/2022 09:53

I’ll look up Neils Yard rose balm as well thankyou

Micellar water. Brilliant stuff for removing make up and never irritates my very sensitive eyes.

Most of those mentioned on this thread leave my eye lids swollen and red Sad
I can just about tolerate Clinique Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover.
Avene do a gentle one that I will repurchase.

sheeplikessleep · 13/02/2022 10:07

Thanks all for posting, I’ll be looking at all of these, thankyou!

Loads of people now do the 'half blue, half clear variety' but I have found Lancôme Bi-Facil Makeup Remover to be excellent and very gentle.

VioletLemon · 13/02/2022 10:14

Tiny bit of cleanser oil, I use Vitam E Superdrug, really affordable and not irritating and I'm sensitive. Olive oil is fab too.

redambergreengo · 13/02/2022 10:17

Clarins instant eye make up remover is the only one that doesn't irritate me.

CarpeVitam · 13/02/2022 10:19

Pond's Cold Cream.

wateraddict · 13/02/2022 10:20

I second the oil suggestions, I use baby oil and then a face wash afterwards. Really helps with waterproof mascara!

RampantIvy · 13/02/2022 10:21

I find the Boots no 7 doesn't irritate my eyes. DD has very sensitive and eczema prone eyes and has used eye make up remover from Butterflies Eye Care without any issues.

train4yog · 13/02/2022 10:28

Not what you are asking, but I use L'Oréal mascara that you take off with warm water only. It's the one which comes in two parts- white and maroon.

Useranon1 · 13/02/2022 10:37

Yes to oil, I use the clarins one.

OP if you switch to tubular mascara it's smudge free and comes off with water

sheeplikessleep · 13/02/2022 10:44

So many suggestions Thankyou
