Lesley Manville - those dresses in Magpie Murders

Am wondering if anyone has watched Magpie Murders and can help me find two of the dresses worn by Lesley Manville in the opening episodes.

I loved both and think the lilac one would be fabulous to wear to a Wedding I am going to in May.

Someone, please point me in the right direction. I have spent hours searching for both photos and similar dresses with no luck.

I’d like the Lilac one as well, it’s a shame it’s out of stock.
I’ve not seen the series, but have read the book, it was good.

I liked the wide leg trousers episode 1 and the skirt cut from a big square in episode 2. Any ideas?

The beige and lilac floral cardigan in episode 1 looks the same style as one I saw at Anthropologie, and they carry many dresses and blouses similar to the ones the character Susan wears.

Just came on here to say we have started watching Magpie Murders and it’s so cleverly written. I also loved the lilac dress Lesley wore, it was very eye catching.
As for Magpie Murders well normally I don’t like dramas where the time line is switching back and forth but this is so clever having actors on screen from both the fiction and non fiction.

I haven't watched the programme yet, but will hurry to now I know there are great clothes! I'm a fairly plain dresser myself, but can't watch programmes where the clothes aren't nice... it's a strange little thing of mine. Those pictures look great!

I gave up a programme a few days ago, in part because of the awful clothes!

It is now as the series is being shown on BBC 1. When it was first released, it was a Britbox exclusive.

Glad you’ve found the dress.

Lesley Manville does look stylish in the show. And she has excellent taste - she once complimented me on my coat on a train. Still dining out on that, years later. Grin

Now I know why the TV license (that I don't pay) is so expensive. But there's a probility that designer clothes are gifted to the costume department by said designer in the hope that we will google and buy !

I have loved her since watching Mum, so talented yet understated.

Her wardrobe in Magpie Murders is just beautiful, even a plain satin blouse she wore in episode one was stunning. She seem to suit such a wide range of clothes.

@Haroweller The black & white one is the Doen Faye dress but also sold out I think.
