Posting here for traffic.

I have an open plan living, dining room and kitchen.

For just over a week now, I’ll come down in the morning and there’ll be around 5/6 huge flies.

I have no idea where they are coming from. Semi detached house. I’ve had my bins cleaned. We’ve had a walk round the house and no sign of anything that could be causing them.

No bad smells inside or out.

It’s really, really horrible. I hate flies !

I just ordered some bug bombs.

Has any experienced this ? Can anyone recommend anything / offer some advice ?

Do you have a fireplace? Many moons ago we had this in my parents house and it turned out that a pigeon had fallen down the chimney and died behind the gas fireplace. It was discovered the following year when a live bird was heard behind said fireplace and it was taken out to retrieve the bird.

They passed in a couple of weeks but boy was it grim.

Oh I think these are cluster flies. We had these, big black dozy things and so many of them. Seem to live in window frames.

Did think this was going to be a thread about not being able to do jeans up though Confused

I thought this was going to be about jeans OP. Do you realise you've posted in Style and Beauty?

Sounds like cluster flies- they can live in cracks in wood. Lots of sprays etc available if you google.

Put a fly trap in your garden (far away from the house due to smell). The problem will disappear to a large extent.
