Like those 'shell' tops Oasis used to do...

Where can I get something like this? They weren't clingy, they just skimmed over your shape and looked smart enough for work over a pair of smart black jeans. Where can I get something like this? I don't want stretchy stuff that is very clingy, I want subtle tailoring and sleeves. Without oasis, I'm a bit stumped for where to find such things now!

H&M do something similar but in all honesty they’re not as good.

I stocked up like mad when they started shutting down. Should be ok for two years if my office goes back full time or five if we stay with hybrid working. I live in them.

I’ve seen them in Primark but as with the H&M ones they’re a bit crap fabric and don’t hang very well unfortunately.

I've loads of those Oasis tops that I can't fit into Sad that I bought pre maternity x 2
No idea where to get them now in my actual size

Mango or Zara might be worth a try or Joy (although wouldn’t recommend using them online). I miss Oasis too!

Someone mentioned Love and Roses the other day. They're stocked by Next but are apparently Oasis designers. A lot of their stuff looks very like the Oasis of old but I've not bought any so can't vouch for fit or quality. No sleeveless stuff at the mo I don't think but maybe as the new season stuff comes in.

You can still get oasis online. Have to wade through a lot of tat but the faithful shell tops and floral dresses are still there

I lived in Oasis ‘crinkle’ tops. I think i cried when they closed down. The boo hoo Oasis is just not the same.

Dorothy Perkins is pretty close. I can't fit in to my oasis ones but I love them.

The name Oasis is still going but It’s very much NOT the same.

If it’s the tops I’m thinking of they were described as crinkle - not shell. Made of a material that resembled crinkled foil - sounds awful but they were the best!

Have a look at Uniqlo. They may not have sleeveless at this time of year, but have good tailoring, non stretchy tops etc.

Coast has been absorbed into the Boohoo stable as well and the quality is now SHOCKING.

Thanks @Shiningpath, I didn't know that. I ordered something from there yesterday and spotted the shell tops. Will see if I can cancel my order. I know I'll hate it if it's boo boo made.

I used to have a PERFECT top from dorothy perkins I think. Good woven fabric, wide T Shirt length sleeves, hip length, not clingy. Just perfect.

Where did I put it?!?

They’re very hit and miss now. Shell tops might be ok but occasionwear my friend and aunt ordered was Misguided quality, not old-style Coast (though the pricing was closer to the latter than the former). Karen Millen is the same too sadly.

I feel a bit like we’re in 1980s East Germany: we have choice but it’s just illusion.

I was gutted when Oasis went, it was practically the only shop I bothered with!
I don't fancy it much now, I'm not into boohoo.
I didn't mean the crinkle tops, just the ones which were non stretch, often with little sleeves, patterned or plain and were just nice shape, not at all boxy just 'right'.
Off to investigate love and roses and uniqlo...
