Help me overhaul my makeup

Morning!

I'm looking for some help with makeup. I'm 33, pregnancy, and toddlerhood have left me looking and feeling knackered and run down. I've always looked healthy and fairly young for my age but I'm starting to feel I could do with improving my make up collection/routine.

I don't know where to start! At the moment I basically just have no 7 stuff as it's a reasonable price so if I don't like something I've bought it's not a big deal, and I like the info telling you which colours suit your colouring. But I often feel I look washed out, or that the make up is too harsh giving me lines/shadows etc that I don't want!

I probably need to learn how to put make up on properly but also which brands to buy. There's so many it's overwhelming and I don't want to waste a lot of money, although I'm happy to spend on stuff that's right for me.

Suggest you check out make up tutorials on you tube. I am older than you so cannot really recommend much but do look to the likes of Lisa Eldridge, Wayne Goss, Pixie Woo if they are still online. or google something like make up for thirties or something. Look for natural looks or something like that.

I am 62 and am actually using less make up. I normally use a tinted moisturiser rather than a foundation. Some can give you a lovely glow.

As for skincare (though again, I am much older than you!). I look at the Budget dermatologist on you tube. She talks about budget skincare - more Cerave and Loreal rather than Creme de mar! She explains it all so well. Obvs I look out for stuff for mature skin but she has a whole shed load on there.

Yes she is American but most of the stuff we can get here from shops or Amazon. From her recommendation I got a lovely sunscreen. Australia Gold (from Amazon).
