Muffin top - which option is least bad??

So I tried some jeggings on , looked lovely in the sampler size but under my jumper there was a lot of flab; size up looked weirdly loose and unflattering (created little pouches) but didn’t have the same flab issue. What do people do?

Thank you Fairyliz may take a while to get to M&S prices 😂 I think I’m going to try Uniqlo, m and S and H and M then. I loved the bottom half not so much my flobbly torso. Think middle age has added some jelly to my belly!
