What's your method of applying mascara?

Tips for someone who doesn't seem to know how to get lovely eyelashes at all and always ends up looking like a spider? What the hell is the right way to put on mascara to get them looking beautiful? I find I have this problem regardless of what mascara I use as well, I just do not know how to apply this product at all. I usually catch the wand and start from the inner lash and blink onto it, pushing it out to the tips of my lashes. What are your tips! Please help!

Eyes wide open and zig zag the brush from eyelid to ends and don’t do a second coat as that’s where it clogs, for me.

Look down slightly and do the tops of the lashes.

Then look up a little and zig zag through, working my way from the outside to inside.

Wipe the brush off on a tissue so it's not overloaded especially when it's a new one

Hold a hand mirror and look down into the mirror when you apply

Do first coat and let it dry before doing additional coats on your lashes to avoid the clumpy spider legs look.

I also like to rotate the brush on the ends of the top lashes to add length.

Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler before you start coating your lashes.Start from the base and in a zigzag motion take the mascara wand up.

I zigzag as well. What is blinking on the brush going to do??

Have a mirror on a table, look into it holding your upper eyelid so your lashes are sticking out more, zig zag slowly from eyelid to eyelash tip, rush the eyelash tip to stop it looking clumpy, I do 2 coats super quick as I find waiting for it to dry causes clumps and too much thickness. Don't forget to concentrate on the outer lashes. This really makes them look great.
