Recently ordered a sweater from Anine Bing, had deliberated a long time, it was over £200. Decided to go for it and check it out. Didn’t love it so sent it back. Returns process was slow (and I had to pay) and when the refund did finally come it was short by £32, which they explained (after being asked twice) as tax and import duties which they don’t refund ‘as part of post Brexit changes they have made in order to make the shopping process for loyal uk customers as seamless as possible’! Suggested local tax bureau might be able to help me out with a refund. This was NOT made clear when I ordered. Other companies based in the EU seem to manage a full refund on returned goods. And AB has UK stores anyway. Outrageous.
