Leather look jeggings

I bought these yesterday and got funny looks off my children (no change there). I'm 48 and slim but they aren't what I usually wear, would anyone else wear them or are my family correct!

They are M&S ivy jeggings. I'd wear with a slouchy black jumper or black shirt

Absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I wear jeggings like those most days, and have versions in navy, moss green, black, loads of different ones.

CocoPancakes · 08/02/2022 15:11

Are they green? Hard to judge because they'd look awful on me, but the sort of thing I'd see on someone else and wish I could pull off. I think they would look worn as you described though.

They are great ! I'm 47 and I wear leather look leggings / Jeggins too

Where I lived before I moved my son ( then 19 ) told me I dressed like a granny since I'd lived there ,
NOw I've moved ( he's 21) , he tells me I dress like a farmer 🙈🤣

I'm 48 and wear them all the time . Tell your kids you can do and wear what you want!

katmunchkin · 08/02/2022 15:23

I bought some from Next just before Christmas, but I'm too embarrassed to wear them as they rustle like I'm wearing a foil bag - is this normal?! They weren't cheap!

AlbertBridge · 08/02/2022 15:29

I wear leather-look leggings (mainly New Look ones) every day and I'm older than you!

Are yours green? If they're green, that explains the funny looks. Mine are black, and therefore undetectable to my emo teens.

Ignore the children; I'm sure you look lovely. I'm 47 and have got two pairs of the M&S ones, in black and burgundy. They're very comfy and go with lots of tops/jumpers. They seem quite well-made too.

You could always tell your kids that you feel their shame and so you'll restrict how much you wear the jeggings - then trim them and wear the remainder as hot-pants. That way they'll see less of them... Wink

Enjoy your lovely jeggings! x

I wear them and I am a tad older than you, not that It makes any difference imo.
My dc aged between 20 and 30 have never flinched.
