I need help and hope this is the answer. Has anyone in their 40s with acne used it to success? And does anyone have a code please? Have spent so much on skincare over the years and not found the answer yet :(

LISAR5FHQ

This discount code I think gets you the first month of Skin + Me for postage.

I’ve found it good, but my main concern was ageing. This month I have had a massive, painful breakout and asked them to tweak my prescription. I had to send more photos which was a bit of a pain bug the new formula arrived this morning.

Or try Dermatica. Similar prescription based service.

Dermatica have been fabulous with their personalised service, answering my request for advice (post COVID rash).

I read this thread (includes a code)

I've been using it a few months for ageing and definitely seeing some improvement. Customer service is excellent too.

bonfireheart · 09/02/2022 13:37

Thank you. I tried Dermatica in the past and it dried my skin out to bad, I know people say to stick with it but I just couldn't. Have now signed up to Skin & Me and they've given me a full suggested routine that I've purchased from Boots, just waiting for my Daily Dose to arrive :)

Here's my code just in case anyone else wants one: CAROLINJ54QA

I'm in the early stages of using Skin & Me but already noticing an improvement. I like the fact that the tretinoin starts low as I haven't had any peeling or redness but am noticing my skin clearing up. I've had acne for the past two years and am beginning to think this might do the trick and help with a bit of anti-aging too. Just remember your SPF everyday!

bonfireheart · 09/02/2022 21:19

At the grand age of 42 I am hoping that I can finally get my skin in order!

Based on skin & me recommendation, today I purchased:
-Neutrogena hydro boost water gel cleanser
-Bioderma sebium ultra nourishing moisturiser
-nivea sun cream for sensitive skin

Will write an update once my skin and me cream is here. Love to hear some success stories already:)

@MrsGannicus am so glad to hear it's working!

I started with Skin + Me about 2 weeks ago. I have had some reaction to the Tretinoin - drier patches, a little sensitive (light stinging when I use my moisturiser), but no redness and not so bad that I don't feel I can persevere. They did start me on what I think is the lowest strength 0.006%.

Supersee · 10/02/2022 09:28

What SPF does everyone use? I have Clarins 50 but it's too white, I don't like it.

lurkingfromhome · 10/02/2022 11:01

I've used it for a month and am really pleased. Their customer service is excellent.

I had a little bit of a reaction - same as you @SummaLuvin - a couple of dry patches, bit of stinging when I put moisturiser on, a couple of bumpy not-quite spots. That all cleared up after a few days and my skin is generally looking a bit brighter and smoother. No difference in the lines yet but I wouldn't expect that after only a month.

@Supersee, I use La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50. It's a spray-on one that is completely invisible and you can spray it on top of make up.

bonfireheart · 10/02/2022 11:03

Ooh was tempted by La Roche-Posay Anthelios but other LRP products haven't agreed with me, have heard great things about it though, might have to try when it's on offer!

I stopped Skin + Me at the start of 2022 after using it nearly all of 2021.

My skin looked a bit better after about 3 or 4 months but then never really showed improvement after that.

By December, I was getting breakouts more frequently and my skin felt very sensitive, so I switched to a ceramide based routine to improve the skin’s natural barrier and I’m very pleased with that so far.

bonfireheart · 11/02/2022 11:43

It's here :)
Is anyone else like me, use a face cream for the first time and keep checking mirror to see if it's already working!!

@bonfireheart I'm the same Grin,am on day 4 of Skin and Me and keep looking to see if there's any change no matter how slight ... ridiculous I know.

tryingsomethingnew · 20/03/2024 20:48

Just reading through. Somebody above us said that they bought neutrogenia. I thought skin and me have their own products? I'm thinking of signing up. Any experience?
