On Saturday afternoon for drinks and to watch the rugby but am at odds as to what to wear!!!!
Late forties and meeting in their local pub.
No notions there. A bit rough and ready by all accounts!
I love to glam up but this isn't the occasion for that. I like to wear heels but otherwise wear a standard uniform of 7/8 ths jeans/ cargo pants , shirt and vejas/ Stan smiths.
I'd like to feel well and be comfortable. Heels always make me carry myself better plus he's 10 inches taller than me, which I'm sometimes conscious of.
I'm 5'7" and. Standard ( curvy) 14 with a belly that I like to hide! Best features are the legs. All ideas welcome please?

Jeans, heeled boots and a floaty blouse?
Or a shortish casual dress with tights and heeled boots?

Thanks for replying @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie !
I like the idea of black jeans and boots .. I love a loose white linen shirt over a black vest but wonder if it's too cold yet! Although I will have a camel or black straight line wool
Coat with a cross body bag. It
Might break the monotone look??

Sounds good, if the pub is warm enough!

Nice jeans, heeled boots and a soft cashmere jumper.

SummaLuvin · 09/02/2022 16:44

As others have said 7/8ths jeans, ankle boots, basic top/t shirt/vest.

But I would add an oversized snuggly cardigan - you are sorted if the pub is cold (I find they often are), you can remove it if you get warm, they are also super casual so great for making an outfit look relaxed.

If they're anything like DHs rugby mates (rip a few of them) the best way to impress them is a team rugby shirt and match them pint for pint. They won't care what you wear 😁🏉
