Can anyone recommend a good mascara that will give a false lash effect to my stumpy fine lashes? I can spend up to around £15. Thank you!

Benefit They’re Real is pretty fantastic - it smudges on me but my friends don’t have the same problem with it so might be worth a try!

I'd love to find a holy grail of this. Revlon and maybelline both do reasonable false lash mascaras, i alternate. Clinique is ok. I don't really rate benefit.

Thanks. I've seen some advertised on Facebook but I'm always dubious as to whether the reviews are real!

I think for the budget you've got you can just have a punt. They don't last that long anyway

Not sure if you'd be up for this but I had LVL lashes done on Friday and my eyelashes look amazing!

Atypical13435 · 07/02/2022 20:55

Out of your budget, but so, so worth it. I had the same issue as you, lashes so short and stumpy you couldn't see them straight on, even with the best mascaras. I tried extensions for a while, I loved the look of long eyelashes but at my age (40s) even the natural ones felt a bit silly. I started using revitalash in November and omg I can't believe the difference. I now have long, thick lashes which look great with even the cheapest of mascaras. I paid about £85 for a bottle in November but it's still going strong. I guess it'll probably last a couple more months. Genuinely, mascara can't grow your lashes, but revitalash can .

Collection mascara. Not kidding. It's the best I've ever bought.

Illegally18 · 08/02/2022 00:02

which one?

NoToLandfill · 08/02/2022 08:48

Collection- lash surge false lash effect.

Xztop · 08/02/2022 16:22

Thanks for all your answers, off to Google some of them now! I'm in my 40s so I wonder why I'm suddenly bothered now!

I have good lashes but highly recommend Benefit's Bad Gal Bang and I also like the Diorshow mascara (I think it's the lash extension one I use). I did also have LVL just to have a more dramatic effect recently and it's been great!

IMONTHETOILET · 08/02/2022 17:46

Rapidlash has been amazing at helping my lashes so that might be something to think about getting.

I always use two mascaras, a volumising one first and a lengthening on over the top. At the moment L'Oréal Air Volume and Maybelline Sky High are my favourites. No single mascara has ever matched the effect of using two for me.

Max factor 2000 calorie is very good

CockneyDoris · 08/02/2022 18:21

Max Factor Clump Defy false lash effect works for me… and I’ve tried loads!! It seems to get me compliments more so than others I’ve tried. Also pretty smudge/runproof too.
I get mine off Amazon, around £7-£8.

I sell senegence and our undersence (primer) and mascara are amazing! They do actually grow your lashes also. They're above your price limit but totally worth the investment.

sparkypupp · 08/02/2022 18:47

I've just bought Primark's wonder lash for £3 and was amazed by it! I usually use Dior, Lancôme or Benefit so was really pleased Grin

mogkat · 08/02/2022 18:53

I think the maybelline falsies is a great mascara. I find a lot of them smudge onto my upper eyelid but that one lasts and also makes my lashes look good.

Marmm · 08/02/2022 20:01

Max factor false lash effect if they still do that one
