Wearing what I have? No shop 2022? Anyone?

I am an emotional shopper, I shop to cheer myself up, I shop to celebrate, when I’m bored etc… I definite get a buzz from it.

But I have so many clothes! I only wear a very small fraction of them. My summer clothes are packed away in the attic as I cannot fit them in my wardrobe alongside my winter ones! I spend a lot of time trying stuff on, packaging up returns, going to the post office…not to mention the money spent!

So I’m trying not to buy anything new. Wearing what I have. Which is a lot!

Another realisation is that I cannot bear anything uncomfortable. I hate itchy labels, itchy lace, too tight things.

I’ve not managed to wean myself off Instagram yet but I have been trying to use it more for inspiration rather than an excuse to shop.

So I’ve managed a month without buying anything. In fact I’ve returned a few things that I bought in December!

Anyone else? Any good non selling websites/blogs? I like livelovesara as she talks about body shape and capsule wardrobes. Midlife chic is not my style but she’s interesting on clothes details and I’ve picked up some good tips from her.

Hopefully I’m not alone 💕

Hey there 😊 I started off the year wanting to do no shop and wearing what I have, I think in reality it'll be a very low buy year. I have IBS and realised a lot of my jeans make me feel really uncomfortable as they dig into my tummy when I bloat, so I think other than replacing jeans, I want to stop buying clothes!

I am doing this. Day 37 today which means the first 10% of the year is done. Not missing it yet, and I am having lots of fun finding things in my over-stuffed wardrobe.

Well done both! I need to invest a bit of time in planning outfits as I just grab the same comfy things.

I should have said, I would also have a lot more clothes at my disposal if I lost weight. That is my other goal, not doing so well with that one.
