A year ago I did a silly thing and bought a lovely Baukjen leather jacket. But it's not lovely enough yet because it looks so squeaky new. How can I instantly age it and make it look the kind of casual gorgeous thing it ought to be rather than something fresh out of the pack?
I know the answer is to wear it but it looks so new that I can't. Is there a quick fix O Stylish Ones?

Go traditional: crash a car into it.

Snoopfroggyfrogg · 06/02/2022 10:38

Can you wear it around the house to break it in? The squeakiness should go fairly quickly. It'll also help with the increased heating prices!

Loving the crazy suggestions. Basically I do have to just wear it don't I? Around the house and have my family laugh at my folly

Wear it out and about everywhere

Hire a teenager to wear it down the hilly Park?

Put it in the tumble dryer for 5 min?

cherrysthename · 06/02/2022 14:45

I read to put it under the mattress for a few days. I haven't done that myself but I have slept in mine

Fold it very carefully and place it on the spare bedroom bed.Leave the bedroom door slighly open.

Go back in a few days to check if DMoggy is still using it as a bed.

I spray mine with Colonil when I first get them to soften a bit and then just screw them up into handbag dustbags!

Throw it on the sofa and sit/lounge about on it?
