I had a total wardrobe clearout a couple of years ago and am down to not much at all. This is fine, I’m a minimalist but I would like to get some new pieces. I want quality clothes, with sustainability in mind. I quite like a utilitarian look eg shirtdresses etc, and I also like the tea dress sort of shape eg nipped in waist for work. When not at work I’m a leggings and jumper person. Problem is I’m an odd shape. Just under 5ft and a size 16-18 and wide hipped (basically teapot shape 😂). Am
Hoping to shed some weight but at over 40 this is proving tricky. Where can I shop? I just don’t know what my style is anymore. Seasalt, boden do petite but nothing is grabbing me. I like the look of twothirds (the muted colours and square tops) but unsure about sizing and ease of returns. I don’t mind paying a bit for quality. Second hand is fine but I rarely find anything useful in petite. Any ideas?

M&Co, They're the only clothes shop in our town and find their good quality.

Hi @Beenheresomanytimesbefore do you have an alterations shop near by? It’s amazing what they can do with coats and dresses and skirts etc. pick something you like and even if it doesn’t fit properly in the shop a good seamstress will be able to tailor it to you - think of it as a cheaper way of getting clothes made personally for you. Good luck!

Can you buy from Desigual (a Spanish brand) online? You sound like you might like their clothes.

H&M sells things like shirt dresses, leggings, (and quite a few different 'looks') and the sizing is all over the place, if you can get to a big branch to try on.
