Would a Helly Hansen winter jacket be naf?

I was just about to purchase one I liked the look of. Thought I would do a quick search on here to see if anyone had any previous reviews of it. And there were a fair few threads from 10 years ago saying hh is naf and chavvy. Is that still the case? I though their parkas etc all look nice.

I think they’re practical, they’re very waterproof and quite nice. Maybe it depends where you live but if it’s coastal they’re just a useful jacket- and what all the lifeboat crews weae

I wondered if they had a revamp of their image. All the threads saying they were chavvy were about 10 years ago.

To be honest I don’t remember them ever being chavvy, although I’m a sailor so have always worn them in that context.

I’ve just ordered the trench coat so I hope not!

Thats ridiculous, if you like it, buy it. What other people think is completely irrelevant.

Totally not chavvy. It's a great brand with a long history and good reputation. If it's good enough for the RNLI!

I don't think they're going to win any style accolades, but they're practical, waterproof and useful. I personally only wear that kind of thing if I'm actually going out hillwalking or hiking, but there's nothing at all wrong with them. A lot of people around here who cycle to work wear HH and HH type gear.

I also really rate their merino wool base layers kept me warm in -18 degree
