Why is women’s workwear so shit?

I’ve changed career from an indoor job to an outdoor one and I’m only now finding out how utterly shit most workwear for women is.

Are you a man with a 40” waist, 30” leg and 48” chest? No problem! Here are numerous options in different colours for you.

Are you a woman size 16-18 with 32” leg and 38D chest? Sorry, love, we only do up to size 14R in navy blue.

There must be other women on here who need workwear (combats, fleeces, t shirts) in specific colours/brands etc but can’t find them? Are there some really good websites I’ve missed?

Maybe some US brands, or Helly Hansen. If your company has an account with Arco you might be limited. At least it's not hi Vis where there's even less choice.

They are shit. It's ridiculous.

Surely Mountain Warehouse or Blacks or similar type shops would have what you describe?

Fucking high vis! I’ve ended up wearing a man’s one because that was literally all they had.

Look at petite ranges vs tall ranges and then you feel nothing but rage.

This is a thread from a while ago now but the problem of workwear for women is still an issue, I have tried to bridge the gap with my 2to1 coverall design for women, I had a need when my daughter was a day old and I was back lambing.
