Just that really.

I'm so bored with all my clothes. I've got a mish mash of scamp and dude, sweatshirts, Hush casual stuff, t shirts. I'm a very casual dresser and I'm just bored with everything

But I have lots. Loads really. So I've decided to charity shop the vast majority and start again and this time try and go for more structured pieces instead of tracksuits from Hush which although look amazing on the tall willowy model, look less so on 5 ft 3 size 14 me.

Anyway - anyone done this? Just how many clothes do I need for a capsule wardrobe? I work from home

Following this with interest as feeling similarly about my wardrobe lately, I’ve been going through and consciously wearing every item/outfit combo I can and then getting rid of things that don’t fit properly or don’t suit me anymore, I’ve tried putting different things together and making new outfits, I realised all the high rise mom jeans had to go, so I’ve done what you describe with the jeans at least! They fit me but were really not comfy since surgery about four years ago. I have three pairs of barely worn dungarees so I’m going try them with different jumpers/jackets etc instead of jeans if I feel like wearing denim. If you work from home maybe the hush bottoms would do with more fitted tops? The matching tracksuit top/bottoms thing sort of swamps me (5ft 3 also!) currently size 10 but i can get away with loose bottoms if the top is fitted, so like fitted cotton long sleeve in winter or vests in spring/summer with a cute cardi.

I'm 5ft3 size 10/12 I find joggers swamp me to, I prefer slim style ones with a fitted top , just feels a little smarter.

Every few years. I have never regretted it. It makes me feel better. Ever so slightly ashamed too. But I donate all the stuff.

I did this a few years ago
Intended to start afresh with few quality items

I now have a wardrobe exactly the same as the one I had before , have bought the same tatt, always hoping that will make me look slimmer and that will go with everything and oh yes that's nice
Most never worn or worn once , really frustrating

I am useless

Not intentionally but many years ago an absuive ex cut up everything I owned including underwear while I was in hospital having my eye stitched where we had head buttted me - only things I had left were a few bits in the dirty laundry basket

Wow, I’m in awe- never considered doing this but I totally should.
I just don’t know where to start. I’m 5ft 7 size 12 - which looks better written down than it actually is IRL. I have a total mish mash of styles. I work from home and wear all.the.time mini skirts and leggings and boots (slippers at home) or jeans and boots. It’s dull.

I’m so sorry - that sounds utterly awful.
