Spring/Summer trends

S&B novice here, I spent winter mostly in leggings and tunics, WFH. As a family we have been in and out of self isolation. I feel that when I re-emerge and start being out and about again I will need some new clothes. What are the SS trends this year?

well apparently it's mini skirts, bright colours, stripes, see through/sheer dresses (!), sequins & early 00s are back so low cut jeans & crop tops (😱)

In relation to high street I think that wide fit white or ecru jeans or trousers are going to be very popular this summer.

I’m no fashion follower but had a good old mosey around John Lewis yesterday. Bright jumpers, loose dresses, dresses and skirts in long lengths ( or short and flippy). Bright florals and stripes, bright knits. Too many acrylic knits for my liking but I picked up a lovely cashmere sweater (JL own and good value) in a lovely cornflower blue. I’ve been a bit ‘meh’ about clothes for a couple of years but saw lots of nice stuff.

Oh dear. They are single use items in my household!

Glad to see pleated midi skirts back in, I have four or five in my wardrobe!

Tailored jackets and fluid dresses seems ok, biker jackets have ade a comeback, I'm not overly keen. Sheer/short/sexy is probably a bit too young for my 30 something self but could probably pull off a crop top.
