New mascara - my cleanser doesn't work on it

Started the Sweed mascara that was in the CB AC - it's lovely but my cleanser (a regular wash-off one) doesn't remove it. This is not an issue I have had before.

What do I need instead? I feel that even tho my stash is mahoosive , what i need is not in there. Mascara is water-resistant but not waterproof if that helps? What's best?

I use the nivia one that you have to shake. I’ve found it better than expensive ones. Failing that, a hot cloth cleanser (with warm water on a face cloth) should do the job.

Baby lotion.Gets any eye make up off.Ive used it for years

Oil based cleanser or any pure oil like coconut, olive or sweet almond. But only use this to remove the makeup. Then use another cleanser to remove the remaining dirt I prefer a milk cleanser for this stage.

Is it a tubing mascara? If so, hold warm damp cotton wool pads, or micro cloth, on them for ten seconds and it should loosen up to come off

just a regular mascara tho small brush, will try some oil on it, thanks

Think it’s tubing. Hold the remover on it for a few second and then gently pull outwards and the tubes come off

If you have any micellar water that might be worth a try too. I use a pad soaked in micellar water, hold on my eyes for a few seconds then wipe off the lashes and all the mascara comes off. Follow with usual wash-off cleanser to get the last of it off.

It's this one, not sure if it's a tubing one?

Nivea one is fab. Just hold it on your lashes for a bit & it dissolves the mascara really quickly.

I have always used baby oil on a cotton pad for my eye make up takes it all off even waterproof long stay stuff, then i use a cream cleanser on the rest of my face and finish off with a wash with salycylic soap bar, toner and moisturiser.

KirstenBlest · 04/02/2022 13:48

If it is a tubing mascara use warm water to remove it

Memyselfandfood · 04/02/2022 14:08

Avon stavia cleanser. Amazing

AFMe · 04/02/2022 16:03

It's not a tubing mascara. I'm using it too atm and it is stubborn - oil works.

I do too, always have since I saw my mum use it. I then remove stubborn makeup with a bit of Bioderma Micellar water. My skin is sensitive and this is the best duo for me
