Not 5'4 but am in my 40's. I shop all over.
Recently mostly in M&S, Sezane, Cos, Allsaints, Arket - a real mixture. I wouldn't exclude anywhere as a place to shop, it really just depends on what I'm looking for and my familiarity with the label in terms of sizing and fit etc. I used to buy a lot of Hush but gone off it a bit over the last couple of years.
I have been buying quite a bit from Vinted as well, especially if I have something specific in mind such as a blazer or certain type of trouser style etc.

Late 40s bit same height
I shop at Hush, Boden, Celtic, Sainsburys and a couple of local independent boutiques

How is this even a question? Mid-forties and a perfectly ordinary height is not exactly rare or requiring of any specific, dedicated clothing.

It’s a long time ago for me … Top Shop existed then! I recall a good deal of loitering in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and Flannels, swooping on the sales. Browns too. Zara probably. It was before I switched to 97% online - so much more available now, I probably browse about fifty stores on my phone in any week.
