Are Golden Goose trainers worth the price? Do they ever go on sale?

Not worth the money IMO. Haven't seen a pair of GG in a couple years either. I wouldn't consider them in style anymore and would therefore not pay the absurd price for them (not that I would I have in the first place when they were considered in style)

Very common in my area. Love them but not the totally battered ones. Are they worth the money - debatable. I find them super comfortable and can literally walk miles in them but they are a ridiculous price. Never seen any on sale.

I own one pair of GG Superstars. I have to say that mine are very hard underfoot and I would not want to walk long distances in them. They look fabulous (I bought a glittery pair), but I found them to be style over substance. Probably would not buy any more, due to the price tag.

I haven't seen anyone in them for awhile. I was in Dubai last month and their shop seemed to be busy, so I guess still popular.

When Liberty do their seasonal discount (10-20% off new stock) Golden Goose are usually included. They usually offer it twice a year, spring & autumn. I don’t know if they stock GG online but they have them in store.

Definitely worth the money and very comfortable. Haven't bought any for a while but I still wear the pairs I have from time to time. They're sometimes in the sale in Net a Porter but possibly not in the styles you would want.

The quality of the leather is great but I agree with pp who said they are quite hard. I did a long walk in the park with them and my small toe was bruised afterwards. I have a couple of pairs of GG and I do think that they might follow the same sort of cycle as UGGs - fashionable and popular for a while, then not so for a few years, then they will make a gradual comeback.

If you want the same sort of distressed look but made of softer leather, I would go for Air and Grace. They are probably the most comfortable trainers ever!

Thanks for all the replies.I'll check out some other brands.

Completely agree with @Thatswhatmamasaid about Air and Grace. Their trainers are fabulously comfortable and more palatable prices than GG. I own about 4 pairs of Air and Grace and will be buying more!

They are so expensive but I love them. I have a very high instep so they are just so comfortable & supportive for my feet

bindud · 05/02/2022 07:23

they aren't the height of trainer fashion any more, New Balance are (or where a few months ago!) but I think they will stick around.
