Levi ribcage jeans

I've seen discounts on these on loads of places and am desperate for a pair! Wondering if anyone has any sizing tips? Do I just go for what my actual waist size is? Or does a 30 correspond to a 12 etc?
I'm generally a 12/14 depending on brand. My whistles barrel legs are a 30 waist but I think my Topshop ones were a 32...

i'm a size 8 generally and a 24 in ribcage
i could have possibly gone down to 23 as they have loosened up a little with wear

I would go with 32, you could get also try 30, get both and return the one that doesn't fit.
