My main coat is navy and I would like a bigger bag so I’m thinking I should buy the burgundy one?

I like the second one but they are both nice.

now, if they had that navy one in a burgundy you’d be all set in my opinion. i can see why you’d get the burgundy but that shape is a bit dated in comparison to the navy one.

I prefer the shape and colour of the first. It feels more modern and personally I think navy bag abs navy coat is just a little unadventurous.

That said, it doesn't have a zip or closure and so I'd be paranoid about being pickpocketed or stuff just slipping out.

Yeah that is a worry about there being no zip!

There's a Knott large shoulder bag and a Knott large tote on the Kate spade website. They might be what you're looking for.

I've just bought a Kate Spade all day large tote in duck blue. I'm loving it. It's got a separate detachable pouch.
