Has anyone tried the colour shot or any of the josh wood range? Looking for something between colour appointments to cover greys...

Omg I've totally cross posted with you but also want to know this!

I’ve used the colour several times now, really pleased, leaves hair in excellent condition, will say comes out much darker, I use light brown now even though I have dark brown hair, the darker shades came out black. Some of the greys are blended rather than completely covered but I’ve had this happen with salon colour too, I like it my hair doesn’t look one block colour, was starting to look witchy. I’m think I used the smoky shade shot mixed into colour before, made the colour go further when my hair was long, but due to cost don’t use each time. Tend to buy from boots online when 3 for 2. Overall really pleased can’t see me going back to a salon for colour now when it needs doing every month.

Yes I use the permanent dye and don't go to a salon. So pleased with it! I'm mid brown and use the lightest brown. It looks so natural I get away with dying less often. My greys do come out dark blonde but it looks fine. Even my hairdresser was impressed and asking what it was. I'd like to try the shade shot but not sure if curly girl method friendly (I don't use the kind of shampoo strong enough to was out silicones). Only complaint is for the first dye, one pack was nowhere near enough.

I used the blonde semi-permanent gloss during lockdown - it was excellent for covering grey. I did use a box of permanent colour plus a shade shot…not entirely successfully…it was a bit dark. However, I think I left it on a bit too long, and actually didn’t need a shade shot…I checked with one of their colour advisers, who was really helpful. They offer free video consultations, so I’d recommend booking one before doing any colouring - it’s a really excellent, professional service.
