Please help. Hen night Outfit for a short apple shape

Hi everyone. I am having trouble finding something to wear to a hen night. I'm an apple shape and short (5'2).. the weather is cold so if I wear a dress I'd like to be able to wear boots or at least shoes that aren't strappy sandals. Does anyone have any ideas?

What about coated leather look leggings and a nice top? Maybe a top with an asymmetrical hemline, that will make you look taller.
