What shoes to wear under rolled trousers that you won't freeze

I mean those mums jeans or toast type rolled up trousers. They do look good with trainers or loafers, but as soon as I wear them with boots, especially heeled ones, they go from cool to ugly and frumpy. Is there any footwear that won't make me get a uti and will still look good? Any tips?

I wear longer length chunky soled (lug) boots. With a tight fitting leg, more calf than ankle, and they need to be slim cut on the leg or they don't look right.

These are the type of boots I have. A type of Bottega Veneta style, but these are from Next.

Also I wear leggings and thick socks under the roll as I can't do with being cold. I don't know if I'd get a UTI (but I sympathise I do get Utis a lot from really random things) but I am miserable being in anyway cold.

Is there a reason you need to roll up your trousers during winter? Is it a requirement for work? Because I do feel like the obvious answer here is to go with the fashionistas and wear full length trousers Confused

I wear flat close fitting smart biker boots with shorter length trousers, I think it works.

My boots for wearing this way are very similar to the style suggested by 70sduvet. Very tractor-y soles. It's my styling trick for cropped trousers. For full length wider legged trousers, I'd wear something a bit daintier, with the highest heel I can manage (about 3cm at my advanced age).
