Has anyone tried Uniqlo period pants?

I currently have Wuka ones but I could do with investing in some more and Uniqlo are £30 for two at the moment which seems good value.

Nope but interested to hear opinions so bumping for you.

I have some from Primark I sized up bit they are really uncomfortable around the leg like they've made the seem to small at the legs, I don't have chunky legs either but do have big hips.

Orangesyringe · 30/01/2022 18:55

Nope, sorry, but would like to know.

I’ve bought Modibodi and Primark for DD to. Ono are but no feedback yet. Would be interested in Uniqlo too.

I’ve been looking at reusable sanitary wear recently and I can’t figure the period pants out. I’m probably being a bit dim. Do you have to change the whole pant throughout the day when it gets soiled? I was thinking pads might be better due to this.

SouthOfFrance · 30/01/2022 19:00

Sainsbury also do some for about £10

heartonthetyne · 30/01/2022 19:00

@Daisy829 you would have to change the whole thing but they hold more than a towel or tampon so you wouldn't need to change as often. On a heavy day I'll wear one all day, change late afternoon and then more at bed time. On a lighter day it'll be one pair in the day and one overnight.

@heartonthetyne oh wow I thought they would need changing every couple of hours. That’s interesting. I might give them a try.

Kwiregirl · 30/01/2022 20:05

Yep - used them and they work fine. A bit "icky" when you soak and wash but they save money and the planet.

I only use them when I work from home or weekends. They safely absorb the equivalent of 2 Tampax Super Plus. No odour (that I can notice).

I have not used them at the office for fear of having a long day and running out of capacity (not practical to take them off and bring home in a bag!) - if you are out and about and work long hours, tampons are probably the best option. I also wory about odour if I'm in company and not using regularly changed internal protection.

Daisy829 · 30/01/2022 20:09

I’ve ordered some pants and pads from cheeky wipes to try out. They seem to do reasonably priced bundles.

WeirdlyKind · 30/01/2022 20:09

I can't remember the company but I bought four pairs for £20 not so long ago. Haven't actually tried them yet due to Covid playing havoc with my periods but they seem good quality.

WeirdlyKind · 30/01/2022 20:10

(I'll check when I go upstairs and post the brand!)

If I have a long day, I wear the period pants and also use a tampon, then take out the tampon as normal and I still have the period pants for the rest of the day.

Mine came from these www.floweretcup.com/collections/period-underwear

I like them because they're cotton unlike some other brands!

KittenKong · 09/03/2022 11:50

Did you sign up for the Mumsnet trial maybe?
KittenKong · 09/03/2022 13:29

Ohhhhh trial! Excuse the typing - ever since my phone fell down the loo it’s been hard to type.

Thank you - I was beginning to wonder ! They didn’t tell us!

mirpuppet · 11/03/2022 21:31

Anyone actually use the Uniqlo period pants? Review?

Billi77 · 14/03/2022 23:17

I do! I love them. Am a size 8/10 and found the S quite tight and the M perfect. Those who like a tighter fit might want to go smaller for safety but I like air in my pants. Also, I love Uniqlo underwear in general

mirpuppet · 15/03/2022 20:01

Thanks for update as I'm a size 14/16 sounds like the uniqlo period pants won't work for me.

I’m a 16 and have the L. I like them but they are pretty “full coverage “, more like shorts really.
