If I like White Stuff and Fat Face...

...what other retailers might I like as well?

I'm finding myself tired of my usual brands- H&M, Dotty P's, Next and supermarket clothing lines...so I'm revamping my tired wardrobe and have treated myself to some new bits from White Stuff and Fat Face, my two new favourite shops.

Where should I shop next?

YetAnotherUsernameToday · 29/01/2022 23:30

Land’s End?

Justkeeppedaling · 29/01/2022 23:45

Sea Salt, Joules, Cotton Traders, Biden

PennyFleck · 29/01/2022 23:49

Vinted! Loads of the above on there.

caulkheaded · 29/01/2022 23:53

I like fat face and white stuff but not a lot of the others listed. Prefer Oliver Bonas, Oasis (online), & other stories, apricot and Mint velvet. I think it depends what you like from FF and white stuff.

I've not got on too well with Vinted, unfortunately. From asking friends though, it does seem like I've just had repeated bad luck with it so I might give it a go again in a month or so.

Oliver Bonas looks a good shout - what's the sizing like, comparatively?

Oliver Bonas sizing is fine, maybe a bit generous? Mostly through I get the same size I would elsewhere.

downtonupton · 30/01/2022 02:35

Seasalt, Boden, gudrun sjoden, Lucy & Yak, Anthropologie, Joe Browns

Poppins2016 · 30/01/2022 02:46

Brakeburn would be worth a look.

User7698365 · 30/01/2022 05:23

Seasalt and Brakeburn. Next sell both of these brands if you have a directory account.

daisychain01 · 30/01/2022 05:46

You need deep pockets to shop at Seasalt, their tunics are eye-wateringly expensive. That said it's better for the environment to invest in 1 good quality item than a load of cheaper items thst you then get bored of. Been there done that!

I find White Stuff and Fatface quality has taken a massive dive since the pandemic. Probably supply chain problems with raw materials to make decent fabric. And zero discounts and special offers any more.

User7698365 · 30/01/2022 08:12

I only buy sale Seasalt stuff, I have just ordered a few bits this last week as there is an additional 20% off sale things, also Next clearance pages have some sale Seasalt. It's one of those places you can buy in the sale as the styles don't change that much year on year, just the colours and patterns

carriedaway · 30/01/2022 08:41

Brakeburn is great

Margo34 · 30/01/2022 08:48

I've never heard of Brakeburn before and just looked - oooOooo that's definitely my cup of tea too👌

Exactly the kind of things I'm looking for - stuff that doesn't change drastically year on year. Quality staples then, perhaps?

Ive done the same thing. Just been buying from white stuff, fat face few things from m and s. But I’ve been buying things in the sale rather than full price. Not sure if some are worth paying full price. Weird fish is another one to try. Went off boden prices went high.
Trying to be things that last a few years.

FAQs · 30/01/2022 09:36

Brakeburn (their sizes are quite generous) and Crew Clothing.

Great thread, OP! I like all of the shops you’ve mentioned and haven’t heard of some of the suggestions eg Brakeburn so will be having a look.

I get quite a lot of tops from Hush (via eBay) as well-so that might be worth a punt.

Margo34 · 30/01/2022 11:32

That's another one I've never heard of, thanks @Howshouldibehave
