Body scrubs

Can anyone recommend a nice grainy, not too oily, properly scrubby body scrub please?

I have tried so many that just don't do anything, and I end up feeling like I've smeared greasy Vicks vaporub on my entire body (I'm looking at you M&S ragdale hall).

Thank you 😊

Clinique Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliator. More like an exfoliating gel and is super fine. No reside, clean, smooth skin. Love it!

You need a kessa glove op. You will see the dead skin rolling off trust me . Get them on amazon

TriciaMcMillan · 29/01/2022 16:53

Oh, just clocked that you want a coarse one... So maybe disregard?

napody · 29/01/2022 16:54

The sanctuary do two great ones: a salt one and one that heats up which I love.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 29/01/2022 16:57

Dove rice milk scrub from Supergrug

I think the body shop ones are the best. A bit pricey, I usually stock up in the sale. Very grainy but not at all greasy.

PlayItCool · 29/01/2022 17:14

Thanks all! I will investigate. Like the sound of the heated one... and I'd forgotten about body shop!

I've got a good one from the Yorkshire Soap company, a sugar scrub!

LordEmsworth · 29/01/2022 17:22

I absolutely love this one... REN exfoliating scrub . It leaves my skin smooth for 2 days afterwards

Sunsetsupernova · 29/01/2022 17:25

I love Frank’s Body coffee scrub at the moment although it’s pretty messy!

Also second a Korean exfoliating glove from Amazon. I love to use it after a long hot bath with Sanctuary bubble bath.

WellTidy · 29/01/2022 17:26

Soap and Glory The Scrub Of Your Life will suit you perfectly. It’s my holy grail of body scrubs and I’ve tried loads.

givemepiece · 29/01/2022 19:02

Goldfaden - doctors scrub. Sooooo scrubby. Not oily at all

RoseHarper · 29/01/2022 19:06

Try one of the Korean exfoliating mits, the green one. You can get it from Amazon. Exfoliates better than any cream or scrub. You need to soak in plain water first, no soap and them let your skin air dry till it is just damp, scrub and watch the dead skin come off in rolls. It is disgusting/fascinating at the same time bit your skin is super smooth and clean feeling afterwards. Chuck in machine and wash to re-use so great for environment too.

Another vote for the Korean Italian Cloths .
I'm not a fan of a bath let alone a hot non bubbly bath but that's what you need before you scrub and the effort os well worth it ,

In the shower BodyShop scrub - I have some Pink Grapefruit (which is my favourite one ) just looked online and it is in a tube now not a jar. Hopefully they haven't changed it .

IcyWinterWonderland · 29/01/2022 19:59

The body shop lemon body scrub is great

HanSB · 29/01/2022 21:05

Dove exfoliating scrub, it's very grainy and scrubby!

FreeButtonBee · 29/01/2022 21:47

The best combo I’ve found is one of the cheapy synthetic exfoliating gloves and then cerave smoothing body cream www.lookfantastic.com/cerave-sa-smoothing-cream-with-salicylic-acid-for-dry-rough-bumpy-skin-340g/12207664.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329921&adtype=&product_id=12207664&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6NOPBhCPARIsAHAy2zB2V8tz5t_m11UIL4S8POUqKmuIQll8G8UXdyNyrOPtyKWAlGn8qhIaAlWLEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

This is unbeatable- the smoothest skim imaginable. I’ve given up buying body scrubs and I use to love the REN salt one at £35 a tub.

I have some of these cloths and thought they weren't very effective - but must have been using them incorrectly. I'll try this technique before purchasing anything else! Thanks 😊

The cloths are good even as just a shower mitt. I love the REN one mentioned above, just not the price! It was my lucky day a couple of weeks ago, I found a large tub in TK Maxx in the yellow sticker clearance for £5, perfect and unopened too. So may be worth a look in there if you are near one.

Gwenhwyfar · 30/01/2022 19:36

"I have some of these cloths and thought they weren't very effective"

They don't do anything special for me either.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 30/01/2022 19:55

The dove ones are good
Tree hut scrubs if you find them at a decent price are amazing but not really sold here much (I got some off Amazon when the price dropped)

Kwiregirl · 30/01/2022 20:08

Aother vote for Sanctuary

Ohmygodyesthatsit · 31/01/2022 01:52

Coffee scrubs are amazing but do look a dirty protest in the shower Grin
