Best eye cream for eczema prone eyes

I get eczema on my eyelids and it is worse in the winter. I have 0.5% hydrocortisone cream that was prescribed by the GP but seem to be in a cycle of using it for a few days to clear up the eczema and then going back to standard eye creams, only for it to flare up again a week or two later. I've wondered if the eye creams are sufficiently moisturising? Are there any makes that are particularly good that I could try to break the cycle of eye cream - hydrocortisone - eye cream?

Are you 100% sure it is eczema?

I was diagnosed with the very same thing and used hydrocortisone cream for breakouts like you.

Then I read a thread on here about blepheritis (sp?) which rang a bell. So I tried the tips - which is basically to run a facecloth under warm water, squeeze and hold over eye for a few seconds. Repeat a couple of times. Do this morning and evening. It’s the warm and damp that work.

Worked almost instantly for me. And costs nothing so might be worth a try.

Quit the hydrocortisone and apply La Roche Posay cicaplast balm heavily each night. It really helps repair the top layers of skin.

Once you’ve got it under control, then look into something without retinol because you don’t want to thin the skin out or irritate it anymore.
