AllSaints dress sizing

I've never bought from AllSaints before but I've seen a dress online that I really like and I've finally talked myself in to buying it. The only problem is I don't know what their sizing is like and wondered if anyone could help?

I generally buy 8s but I had a couple of things before Christmas where I needed a 6 (and then couldn't get them). I'm only 5'2" which is sometimes a problem for how dresses sit and no boobs or curves to speak of.

I’ve only tried their jeans and I’d say they are on the small side compared to say M&S.

I always go up a size to my usual high street size. I'm a 10 most high street shops but would wear a 12 in AS. With the exception of the leather jackets and then I sized down as they stretch.

Buy both and return one..

And yes, I know you can get both and return one but I hate the faff of returns so would rather give myself the chance of not needing to make a return rather than knowing from the start that I definitely will!

I wear a size 10 and buy a size 10 in AS for dresses. They do have the odd rogue item though, such as a coat I bought in a Medium to make sure there was room for jumpers and when it arrived it was so vast I had to get an XS

If you can track down reviews of whichever item it is (not necessarily on the All Saints site - quite a few department stores stock them) I've found you can often get a good idea of any sizing quirks.

I’m an 8 normally but usually buy a 6 in all saints dresses. It really depends on the cut of the dress you’ve chosen.

I would probably order both but expect the 6 to for better.

That looks very like this dress I bought in leopard print last year www.endource.com/product/allsaints-hali-ambient-dress/Xl1bB8nnfAAB-ZSl; they do tend to recycle the patterns, like most places.

If it's the same one, then the 10 is true to size on me, at least (5 foot 4 and top heavy)

I think All Saints is pretty true to size. I’m a 10 and buy a 10 from there.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I finally ordered the dress in the 6 and it fits so I'd say true to size for me but they do seem to cater for my distinct lack of curves.
