I'm heading into my mid 40s. Special occasion coming up. Photo attached.

If you need it then I - currently the same age as you - should have had it a decade ago!

sometimespeopletakethepiss · 26/01/2022 20:56

You don't need it OP

Imabouttoexplode · 26/01/2022 20:57

Nope. Nothing there to botox.

SirChenjins · 26/01/2022 20:58

What - for those two tiny lines on your forehead? Confused If so, then no. You really don’t need it.

Ohpulltheotherone · 26/01/2022 21:10

No you absolutely do not NEED it.

No one needs to do anything to themselves above soap and water realistically but it comes down to how you feel.

Your lines are fairly deep and they’re one sided, which means your muscle is more dominant on one side, so Botox could even that out and just give a smoother, relaxed brow.

You absolutely don’t need anything but if you chose to then I think based on experience (anecdotal only!) you’d probably get a nice result on those lines.

Alternatively depending on the time scale you have to work with you could introduce retinol and a course of collagen facials… less dramatic results but doesn’t involve injections

Pegasussnail · 26/01/2022 21:49

I've three months (also happy to get a fringe)
Will try retinol first but don't know much about it. Literally use nothing at the moment. Just cleanse my skin

OP posts:
MoodySky · 26/01/2022 21:53

No one will notice.

Cleanbedlinen12 · 26/01/2022 22:37

Oh my goodness no one will notice. No one will say,’gosh she’s totally dull but I love being with her because she has a wrinkle free forehead’! Well they might I suppose.
They WILL notice your twinkly eyes, cheeky grin and great sense of fun!
Well that’s what I think anyway!

RampantIvy · 26/01/2022 22:39

You don't need it. Honestly.

TBH, the smooth shiny forehead look isn't an attractive look to me. It screams out botox.

pinkpillower · 26/01/2022 22:47

The risk with Botox is that other muscles in your face 'pick up the slack' when the Botox freezes your forehead. It means when it wears off you could have additional lines as well as your original ones.

It happened to my sister. She has more visible lines than before

sansucre · 26/01/2022 23:00

OP, there's nothing there that needs Botox! Spend your money on something else.

DaveGahansRealWife · 26/01/2022 23:27

What do you think @Pegasussnail? Do you want to be rid of those lines? They will likely only get worse but they are mild at the moment. You would need very little to get rid of those.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 26/01/2022 23:51

You don't need it but have it if you want it! I've had Botox 3 times
This is now, no Botox for a couple of years and I use retinol
Other pic is before retinol and consistent skincare and 5 years ago!

Yours looks great maybe

I wonder if the male wedding guests are having these thoughts too?

Hmm I guess not.

OP you are absolutely fine and lovely as you are. Please don't pressurise yourself into getting unnecessary procedures.

WorkEvent · 27/01/2022 00:06

Goodness I’m not quite 30 yet and my lines are worse than yours!

11GrumpsaGrumping · 27/01/2022 00:07

Those who use retinol and collagen- please could you suggest some products?

Op- Botox would definitely soften those lines, if that's what you want. Honestly though, my opinion is that you don't need it!

I use a prescription from skin and me
Luredbyapomegranate · 27/01/2022 00:39

No - you have a couple of tiny lines. No lines at all just looks odd. Hold your horses fir a few years

GettingStuffed · 27/01/2022 01:20

No, I've just watched BOTOX fails on YouTube, it's not worth the risk

CallMeK · 27/01/2022 01:39

Nope you look great from what I can see!! I get Botox but I really needed it.. I looked so tired and angry all the time.

DaveGahansRealWife · 27/01/2022 11:01

Did you also watch the millions of women who get Botox and don't have fails on You Tube?
Planetzero · 27/01/2022 11:08

No not for lines there.

Mademoiselle14 · 27/01/2022 13:09

For lines like those you would be amazed the difference that a basic skincare routine would make. Use a hyaluronic serum and a decent (not mega expensive) moisturiser and sunblock every day (especially if you’re using retinol) start gently on the retinol if you’re tempted to use it and remember that peeling is normal with it! Beauty Pie is a great starting point for good and affordable skin care

Delatron · 27/01/2022 13:27

Not for those tiny lines. Not worth it. You don’t even have any frown lines. As another poster said Botox does create lines elsewhere as you start to move your face in a different way.
