Shampoo for coloured hair - that cleans well

I've relatively recently started dyeing my hair. I've switched from normal shampoo to shampoo for coloured hair and everyone I've tried I hate.

They just don't seem to wash my hair properly. Even after a good lathering I seem to find patches of greasiness..
. Never had this problem before so I don't think it's my washing technique. Could be wrong though.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo please?

Thanks

What colour are you dying your hair?
Not sure if it makes a difference but I get mine dyed brown and use the L'Oréal elvive colour protect.

Hair feels properly clean and doesn't look all greasy after one day

Do you mean a colour depositing shampoo or a shampoo that just says 'for coloured hair' on the label?

One that just says "for coloured hair" - thanks

It's dyed brown. Not sure if one I've tried us L'Oréal elvive... I'll have to check. Thanks

If its not the one you are already using, then I also liked the L'Oréal one for coloured hair, in the red packaging.

Pureology is the best shampoo I've ever used and perfect for coloured hair (IMO) :)

It's expensive but a little goes a very long way - a bottle lasts me ages and I have a lot of hair!

What’s your budget? I like the kerastase ones for coloured hair. Alternatively try a cheap clarifying shampoo?

StripeySnail · 26/01/2022 21:31

I'd prefer it under £10 a bottle... Gosh, ageing is expensive. I used to be able to use any cheap shampoo and my hair would look great. Oh well.

Thanks all

I've been happy with Redken's Colour Magnetics Colour Extend. I get it on Amazon or eBay, usually about £14 a bottle, but recently got a litre bottle for less than £30.
I like to hear that 'squeak' when I wash my hair and haven't been disappointed so far.

I've been using Matrix Color obsessed ever since I first coloured my hair and I find it really does keep colour fresh and bright( mine is red) and my hair is always clean and shiny
Not a supermarket type brand but is under £10

I use Liz Earle on my coloured hair-no sulphates and it’s the best one I’ve tried. Not weighed down or lank. You can get it discounted atm for about £10. Lasts a long time-I use the normal conditioner too. Tried the dry hair one but my hair likes the normal one.
