Thoughts on UGG slippers

I don't usually "do" slippers, but saw some UGG slippers that looked cosy for when I'm working from home.

Has anyone got/tried them? Are they as good as they look?

Traditional ugg boots are fabulous for working from home. I'm trying to resist popping to the shops in mine so I keep them nice. Real sheepskin is the best as it keeps your feet toasty but they don't get sweaty.

I have some like mules with a sheepskin cuff and hard soles. Absolutely lovely and still going strong after several years. I wear with bare feet usually and they are warm but feet never ever get sweaty and they don’t smell at all. Expensive but totally worth it.

My dd had some, they are really nice, I would recommend going off how here look and the West they have had.
She loves them.

Yes I've had several pairs of these ones over the years and I just love them. Very warm and snug.

Love mine! I had some tan coloured ones for around 18 months wore them to death and have just received a black pair for Christmas as a replacement. They are a slip on mule style. Would highly recommend!

Yes I love my Ugg slippers. I have the Ansley ones which are a proper shoe, I don’t see the point in the backless ones as they wouldn’t keep my feet warm. I’ve just realised I’ve been wearing Uggs for the last 18 years. Haven’t worn them out of the house for the last few years but as someone with terrible circulation problems they’re a godsend to me for most of the year. My slippers are getting on for 5 years old and wash really well. Would have got through loads of cheaper slippers in that time so a good investment for me, and I like that they have a proper sole so I can pop out to the bin if I need to.

I've had my UGG slippers for around 12 years they're faded and a bit bigger than when first bought but absolutely perfect otherwise, no holes no wear on the inside wouldn't be without them.

I prefer Emu to Ugg as I find them better quality and they're also genuinely Australian (rather than American). Super-warm and comfy.

I never wear mine bc my feet get hot and sweaty in them 🤷‍♀️ I prefer a faux sheepskin pair I got for a fraction of the price from Next!

I love mine so much. They're getting old now but have held up so well.

They were a gift, I wouldn't buy them myself because they're sheepskin, however much I adore them.

When these ones finally go to slipper heaven I'll probably buy some similar ones with fake fur to see if they match up.

It sounds weird but I love how much foot they cover. They feel like proper house shoes rather than just any old slippers. So comfy and toasty without being sweaty.

DD got a pair last year and I had to return them 8 weeks later because the fur inside them was wearing off. I think people who have had them for many years got batter made versions. Poor quality now IMO.

Never bought Uggs never will, overpriced for what they are.

I always have ugg slippers. DH gets them for me every other Xmas (at my request) as they last around 2 years before they get too shabby. I never wear socks with them

I just got some, albeit with a voucher and a discount code and I bloody love them. So comfortable and seem really sturdy. Very happy with them

Had mine for a year and definitely got my money's worth, I literally live in them!! They are so comfy and feel supportive at the same time!

I love my Ugg slippers and bought my hubby a pair after he out wore three other less expensive but still quality slippers and they look great still.

I wear proper Ugg boots as slippers and they’re great. However I think they’re now made from “Uggpure” which is some kind of wool woven on to synthetic backing. I.e. not actual sheepskin anymore.
I second emu as an equally good / better alternative for a lower price.

Love mine and think they are well worth the money. I think I must be on my fifth pair now, probably over fifteen years. Yes, they are expensive but they last and have good non-slippery soles on them.

My DD thinks that the people who think they are overpriced are generally the people who have never had them.

The joy of putting your feet into new Ugg slippers cannot be replicated.

Don’t do it OP. I had some as a present 3 months ago and I don’t want to leave the house because it involves taking my feet out of my Ugg slippers. This has not been helped by having an Oodie for Christmas.

I have navy mules and I love them. I’m on my 3rd pair, got my first 10 years ago.

I was given some about 6 years ago and they were amazing… replaced them last year and the new ones were shite. Wore terribly within a few weeks. I don’t think I’d buy them again unless they were heavily discounted.

Never wore slippers until I got given a pair of UGG slippers and then I was hooked! Wear them all the time snd love them, highly recommend getting a pair.
