Is a 36 year old able to wear these?!

I know I'm ABLE to! But do they look really childish? I'm done with heels and wear trainers much more these days but don't like boring styles I like a bit of fun.

I'd wear it with perhaps a long duster coat to make it fun but not too childish if that makes sense.

I saw someone wearing some yesterday, and my immediate reaction was I want them.
So yes I'd wear them, and I'm old enough to be your mother !

The answer is always YES! If you love them, then get them! There's nothing a 36 year old 'should' or 'shouldnt' be wearing- we're all different and we like different things. Some people would probably run away screaming from those trainers. So what?!

Are they easier to put on than hi top converse? I had some of those out had to use a shoe horn to get them on which made them feel like the least coolest shoes in the world.

They don't look any differernt to any other trainers. I don't like trainers but adults of all ages wear them and these are trainers. I don't see why you can't wear them.

My feeling is that if you have to come on to Mumsnet to ask if you can wear them that you probably don’t have the confidence to pull the look off. Get some Boden instead.

I've just bought these instead - I feel like they'll a little bit more sophisticated and the original pair I want a black tongue not red and the particular colour combo I want isn't even released US so god knows how long it will take to get here!

Still might get them when they're released but happy with these for now

They aren't the most on trend trainers atm, but I imagine they would be quite comfy and if you like them that's the main thing!

I work with uni students and they’re definitely the trainers most worn by that demographic atm! It’s a mix of the hi-top and low versions.

I much prefer that pair.

Go for it I got little feet so you often see me in trainers from the kids section and I don't care saves me money and I'm comfortable.

I have the same trainers has DS4 just in a different colour and they glow in the dark which I never knew until walking last night

I want them. Not in the budget so OP needs to buy them and wear them so I can live vicariously through her.

Oh just go for it! I'm 37 in a few weeks and I've got high top mickey mouse converse style trainers and I wear those without a second thought Honestly, if it makes you happy then who are you hurting?
