Black work trousers for pear shape

I am a size 12 and can fit into most size 12 trousers with some stretch in them/elasticated waist, m and s jeggings, next harem trousers for example but have recently been looking for some black trousers for work (teacher) and even in a size 14 I can’t pull them up over my bottom let alone do them up! I last worked 10 years ago pre kids and could fit into any size 10 trousers back then and now I don’t know what to do! I am a very definite pear shape. Any ideas? Thank you!

M&s straight leg trousers. They’ve got some good stretch but look professional once on. £15 🙂

I'm very pear shape. I have a pair of the m&s but they are tight on my thighs. I have a pair of straight leg from simply be and they fit perfectly.

I recently had this dilemma and I ended up buying a lovely pair of smart black wide leg trousers from The White Company. I went in on the off-chance and tried a few different pairs on that were in the sale. Definitely worth a look Smile

I have some from Hobbs - on the hanger I wasn’t sure as they are slightly tapered, side zip, but on they’re actually quite flattering!

My two best fitting trousers are phase eight and capsule(from simply be). I am a pear.

Years ago, I wore new look and they never did fit quite right

I have some tapered side zip trousers from M&S collection where the front waist is flat but the back of the waist is elastic, they fit so well over my very prominent behind!

H&M slacks fit well but I have to size up.

Thanks all, definitely some ideas to try there!
