I’ve got two pairs of fake DM’s sitting at home now.

I bought the “right” size. Very comfy but a bit long. Two fingers share to the toe.
Bought half a size down. Perfect length but a bit tighter especially on the heel ( toe box fine)
Tried with socks and tights but socks just make the longer ones feel tight.
So what now? Bigger or smaller do you think?

Have you worn them? If not, return them and get boots that fit properly.

If they are leather they will probably have a bit of give.

I have some boots that aren't DM-like at all and despite being my size, my feet slop about in them. I am going to try thick boot socks and if that doesn't work I'll try heel grips.

I also have DM-style boots but by Solovair. The sizing on them is more what fits my feet not a size, and the boots are a whole size smaller than what I would normally buy. The boots are more durable than DMs, not cheap, but I got mine second hand in pretty much as good as new condition.
