Which jeans with chunky boots?

I have a drawer full of skinny jeans - love ‘em but not sure they work with my winter boots.

What style works best with hiking boots/ doc martens style of boot?

I’m tallish and err athletic (sturdy calves). On and mid fifties if that makes a difference 😜

Skinnies and boyfriend jeans look good with doc marten style. Maybe a relaxed skinny with a hiking boot.

Anything a bit more tapered like a mom jean I'd probably go for a heeled hiking boot. Same with a wide leg jean.

You kind of want some contrast e.g. slim boot, wide jean. Or slim jean, chunky boot.

You can wear all slim or all straight though it you then have to also be slim or straight on top or it looks off.

Thank you - mine are all skinnies so sometimes it’s a ll a bit busy and tight around the ankle . I might experiment with an old pair and cut a couple of inches off the legs and see if they sit better.

I do think I should update my collection of jeans though - I have seen boot cuts and flares in some ranges but I feel like I’ve been there and done that

My favourite jeans to wear are bootcut/slightly flared. I cut the ends off so they're frayed and slightly cropped. Looks great with chunky boots

I wear skinny jeans with my chunky DM's and either roll them up or tuck them in

I wear flared jeans with my hiking boots. They’re the most flattering jean shape for my body type, so that’s what I do, and I think they look good with chunky boots too.
