Are Coast dresses true to size?

I hadn’t purchased anything from coast in a few years but always found them true to size. This month I ordered a long dress for an event in a 10 and an 8 and they were both too big. So possibly they’ve succumbed to vanity sizing.

Haven’t bought anything for a while but they use to cut for more of an hourglass so it depends on your body shape I guess?
