Aliexpress is the Chinese equivalent of Amazon. It can be a bit dodgy but it can also be fine. I've ordered stuff from them before. Might take a bit of time to arrive. I would chance it with that dress as you will only have lost out on £20-30 if it doesn't match the image.
Where do we think high street stores get their clothes from? China. India. This is the wholesale price.
I've seen dresses on Shein that are £15 identical in every way to dresses in high end stores retailing at ten times the price.
Unless it is silk or cashmere and you want to guarantee it's no fake, look for the wholesale price. Anything made of viscose etc is liable to come from a central wholesaler. Lots of products are identical but pitched to different attract markets. DS2 works in fashion and is always telling me this. He thinks Aliexpress is OK. Not great but worth a punt.
